First of all, I would like to thank you all for giving me the opportunity to represent the Lions UK by travelling to Virginia, USA. My time out there was one of the best experiences of my life. I made lifelong friends and unforgettable memories. 

Over the 25 days I spent in Virginia, I discovered what an everyday life was like as I spent two weeks with an American host family. As well as this, during the first 11 days, I was located in all different parts of Virginia. I experienced the tremendous landmarks in Washington D.C, I was also treated to numerous visits to the historical museums of Virginia. This goes from the Holocaust museum to the Royal Navy base museum, to the NASA museum, to the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Centre. 


I was fortunate in spending time with fellow Lion's members almost every day in different locations across the Virginia state. The Lion's members treated us to some high-class American food, I was blown away by the selection and portions of the delicious meals. This was an extraordinary experience for us all on the trip and this is where we had the good fortune of meeting so much of Virginia’s Wild Life. It was amazing!


To be able to travel to the other side of the world at the age of 18 is a unique luxury to anyone looking to follow this programme. I highly recommend the Virginia trip to anybody that has the desire to travel to the United States. 


 Following through on this program was the best decision I have ever made... by far. I have had a life-changing experience and hopefully, I will return to the USA to travel and explore what the rest of their amazing country has to offer. 


Overall, I have made lifelong friends and unforgettable memories that I thoroughly recommend like-minded young people to take on the same opportunity that I took. Go and live your dream, make your dream a reality.
